Meet our Ministers

Rick Mosher has served as the preaching minister of Licking Christian Church since the fall of 1986. He began his full time career in the preaching ministry in 1974 upon graduation from St. Louis Christian College, Florissant, Missouri. He is a native of St. James, Missouri, where he grew up actively involved in the St. James Christian Church. From 1974 to 1986 he served as the preacher for the Pleasant Hill Christian Church, Potosi, Missouri.

Rick, or “Mosh” as he is frequently referred to, is widely known for his involvement in church camp. From 1971 through 1986 he was a regular part of the faculty at Gasconade Christian Service Camp, Waynesville, Missouri. Upon coming to Licking he became involved with the Rock Garden Christian Service Camp where he has served since 1987. He works several weeks of camp each year. He served as Dean of High School Camp for a number of years. From its inception through 2017 he headed up Rock Garden’s Christian Basketball Camp which immediately precedes the regular church camp weeks each year.

Rick currently serves on both the Board of Trustees and the Alumni Steering Committee for St. Louis Christian College. He is also on the Rock Garden Christian Service Camp board and the area Men’s Fellowship board. He is a past President of the Missouri Christian Convention and of Licking’s Wildcat Booster Club. He serves as a substitute teacher for the Licking R-8 School District. He coached Jr. High Girls Basketball for 23 seasons and continues to do field announcing and score book keeping for the Licking High School girls basketball team. He is always glad to extend the influence of Licking Christian Church beyond the congregations’ doors.

Rick is solidly committed to the Bible plan of salvation (faith in Christ, repentance from sin, confession of faith in Christ, and baptism by immersion into Christ for the forgiveness of sins and to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit). He has a passion for preaching and teaching the Word of God and is anxious for the opportunity to share the gospel with everyone in the Licking area.

Kalieb began his service with us in June of 2022. He is part time while he completes his education at Central Christian College of the Bible in Moberly. Kalieb is a “Timothy” of the Wood River Christian Church, in the St. Louis metro east area and attended St. Louis Christian College before the college merged with Central.

On June 3, 2023, Kalieb married Leigah Friend, whom he met in college. Leigah, from nearby Houston, is a very warm and caring person who complements Kalieb’s ministry quite well.

Kalieb’s main efforts at this time center in the area of youth. However, as a preaching major in college, Kalieb also understudies our senior minister, sharing the preaching load and other areas of service with him at times during the year.
